On behalf of the team of the Stroke Center EOC and the organizing committee, we would like to invite you to the Lenstra Lecture 2023 at University of Southern Switzerland (Università della Svizzera italiana, USI). The Lecture originated in 2018 with the support of Reijer and Antonia Lenstra, to promote education in neuroscience. The Lecture offers a unique opportunity for our medical, academic and healthcare community to meet prominent scientists from all over the world, recognized for outstanding contributions in patient-oriented stroke research. For the third edition, the Stroke Center and INSI are honored to invite Babak Navi from Cornell University, New York (USA). Professor Navi is a reference in neuroscience, well representing a new generation of clinical researchers: he is recognized worldwide for his innovative and pragmatic approach to better understanding the causes of ischemic stroke and the relationship between cancer and cerebrovascular diseases. His clinical and research efforts have inspired new important therapeutic strategies to improve the outcome of patients suffering from this condition.
